Spring bulbs end pension worries

Last year as part of my gardening project, I bought various packets of bulbs. Now previous to my move to sunny Yorkshire, the only things I grew had to be edible. Grow-your own has always been a winner with me, better tasting food for FREE!  Defo my sort of thing.  So why now (you ask) am I growing flowers. It really is simple: My beautiful lady loves seeing flowers in the garden, and nothing gives me greater joy than seeing her smile, and knowing that my efforts have put that smile there.

Of course there is the satisfaction of seeing your own hard work and the constant effort that a garden requires rewarded when things grow and flower.  Then there is the simple pleasure watching a bumble bee move from flower to flower, knowing that right now bee's are in trouble, and without bees we will soon be in trouble too. So just by growing a few flowers, you will be doing something important for Mother Earth.

So, when I purchased my various bulbs last year, I took time to plant them, and this week, sure enough, the first bulbs have come up. Will all my bulbs flower? Maybe, but unlikely. That matters not, what matters is that enough will grow to brighten up our lives, and help  to keep the bees going.

So the important thing is to buy bulbs from a good producer, follow the simple tried and tested planting instructions, and after a while you will see the results. That got me thinking, what if I could find a business opportunity along similar lines??  Not a get rich quick scheme, but one where my time and effort applied to a tried and tested method produced results.  It is early days yet, but I have found something which looks like it ticks all the boxes.I shall of course report my progress here.
