Want to get something free?? With the decline of second hand shops and health and safety rules about second hand electronic goods lots of perfectly useable stuff is going into landfill. I have also noticed a steep increase in prices in the local charity shops, although there are still some bargains to be found.
Online we have a number of free to advertise sites aimed not at people selling their unwanted goods, but at people with goods which are still in useable condition, but that are about to be thrown away. This seems to be true of the more bulky items such as furniture, but many computer/video games are next to worthless and some people give away whole collections of un-wanted vinyl.
Most of the sites are full of people requesting stuff, but if you have the time to look you might find what you want, and do a little to reduce the amount of stuff going into landfill.
