Just watched the ITV evening news and they say the average household pays around £1,024.00pa for gas. Now the gas giants Centrica (parent company of British Gas) with 16 million UK customers say that although no price rise has been announced yet, it is clear that a rise of approximately £130 per household is imminent. Centrica have said that the wholesale price they are paying has risen by 15% and therefore if they only pass on this 15% rise to the customer then the average bill will go up by approximately £130/150.00 pa, YET ANOTHER RISE IN THE COST OF LIVING!
The great news for us is that the company who supply our gas (amongst other things), guarantee that the price we pay will always be lower than that charged by British Gas, and indeed Scottish Power, who we were with previously and that is without all the bonuses we currently receive. At the end of every year, provided we pay our bills by monthly direct debit, then at the end of the year we receive a 10% bonus - and that is just on one of our utilities and we are not being 'smug' about it as it was one of our friends who recommended us to it and one of his friends recommended him to it - that's the way it works, no costs on advertising, just word of mouth....blogs like these, social networking and they save millions upon millions each year which IS passed on to their customers. Simple and effective concept, if only the other companies followed suit, we'd all be able to have a bit of leisure money in our pockets.
Won't bore you with the rest, but if you'd like to follow in our footsteps and switch now, save now please click on the link and get yourself a quote http://www.utilitywarehouse.org.uk/K93573
