BBC RADIO LEEDS INTERVIEW WITH DAVID ANDERSON 15TH MAY 2012

In the SAY NO TO TESCO campaign David Anderson gave a great interview with Andrew Edwards of BBC Radio Leeds - please listen to the interview at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00rk5r8 you will see that the show lasts 3 hours - if you scroll through to 2.06:20 time, this is where the interview begins.

We love the fact that David pointed out extremely valid points about parking and also the length of approximately 5 metres (16ft) where the delivery vans will be entering and leaving on Church Street and that Tesco would have to alter or remove the wall and this is a Grade II listed building!!

A representative of Tesco also raised some points and chose to use the Express Store on Easterly Road!  I don't know if anyone knows where this store is, but yes it does have a butcher's shop close by but hardly anything else, it's a very long road on the edge of Leeds and about 800 yards away from Rounday Road and it bears no comparison to the location of their proposed take over of The Crown or the impact Tesco Express would have on Boston Spa...this is a very deliberate poor comparison on behalf of the Tesco rep, perhaps she should have chosen somewhere like HERNE for instance.
