The British Phone Hacking Scandal...is it really just a problem in Britain? Is nothing sacred? Why are these people allowed to get away with it, how many people do they have to violate in order to make money? There is enough news out there for ALL newspapers to report and do a good job of it, or is it because of the absolute fascination with celebrity? It's like the chicken and the egg syndrome. We can't put a stop to celebrity but we can force the likes of the NEWS OF THE WORLD out of town...perhaps by the downfall of The Sun, which after all is full of crap, lies and maybe there is a little truth in what they write, but what can we believe?
Those people who work in professions that we hold in high regard, have let themselves down completely, taking backhanders, greed, greed and more greed. One upon a time also, the profession of being a news reporter and writer was held in high esteem, now even those who are completely innocent of any wrong doing, must cringe when asked "what do you do for a living"?
Is it really necessary too to ram down our throats The Sun on Sunday, giving away hundreds and thousands of pounds (me wonders where they get their wealth from, ooopps tongue in cheek), I shall have to be careful what I write in case I get investigated and have my phone hacked!
I am urging people to stop buying this fish and chip wrapper, because that's all it's good for, that way, no more people will be hurt and other such newspapers will not likely be tempted by the offer of money to put their lives and careers on the line for the sake of a bit of easy cash and perhaps we will see some real journalistic writing which excites us.
